9/7/13

  1. Perfectly gorgeous day, clear blue skies, sunny but not hot, no humidity.
  2. Shopping at the farmers market.
  3. Going over to our duplex and re-measuring the rooms to figure out the floor plan.
  4. Remembering that I'd forgotten to buy pie crust before getting too far out from Trader Joe's, in order to make this burst tomato galette.
  5. Stopping at the office on the way back to drop off some of the weight of the groceries I was carrying back.
  6. Catching up with DC, LW, and SD (separately).

9/5/13

  1. Figuring a potential floorplan for the bedroom utilizing a headboard that would double as nightstands.
  2. Getting a chance to try out the Georgian (country, not state) food truck.
  3. JR being very encouraging on how much I'd figured out so far about how the scheduler app worked.
  4. Realizing I didn't actually break the scheduler app, something funky happened with my cookies.
  5. Videochatting with AJ.
  6. Rain letting up by the time I walked home.

9/4/13

  1. JR showing me where the actual repository for the scheduler app was.
  2. DC explaining assert statements to me and actually understanding them this time.
  3. Working through some of the Codeschool Ruby tutorials.
  4. Making a bunch of progress on the Ruby Koans.
  5. Dan making an effort to be more positive about the new place even after we discussed some of its challenges.
  6. Working on a floor plan for the new place.

9/3/13

  1. Bringing my red silk vintage dress to the tailor and only getting charged $45 to have the hips let out, even with the rush fee to get it done in time for AJ's wedding.
  2. Having my phone with me to answer the call that the place I saw yesterday was ours if we wanted it.
  3. Calling up Verizon to get my phone activation fee waived.
  4. Signing the lease!!
  5. Taking measurements at the new place.
  6. Remembering to take down the window screens and lock all doors/windows before heading out.
