- Finishing reading the whole Dark is Rising series.
- Getting Korean fried chicken delivered for lunch.
- Catching up on Glee episodes.
- Finally cutting down the one fabric-covered window that was already up and putting up another two in bedroom windows.
- Putting in the waistbands on my two unfinished skirts from the skirt class.
- Discovering that I did buy some light-colored cotton fabric, originally for lining my dress from the Make workshop class (that I think I'm going to just tear apart), that I've decided to use as underlining for the Crepe dress sew-along instead.

- Still getting an avocado on bagel for breakfast despite arriving at 9:40 because the cafe workers were a bit slower in putting things away and pulled out the dish of avocado for themselves as well.
- Quiet day at work.
- Lunch with ES and EM discussing favorite childhood books and going over the Newberry Medal winners list afterwards.
- Long-awaited hour-long massage with Maurice. Excellent.
- Dropping by the library to return some books and reading bits of Flowers in the Attic and picking up a compilation of the entire Dark is Rising series.
- Getting my Droid back as my phone!! Went to the Verizon store to switch my number back to the Droid from the awful Moto-Q with its water damage spot.

- New purple snow boots acquitting themselves excellently, kept my feet warm and dry as I scaled the small mountains of snow and puddles.
- After watching two totally packed PATH trains go by, a mostly empty one finally came in and didn't have to elbow someone's eye out in order to get on it.
- Queues at work cleaning up pretty quickly, lots were just spam.
- Taking the plunge and buying the serger, yay!!!
- One of the avocados I bought last week finally ripe enough to cut into.
- Achieving my goal of getting out the first wedding blog post since the last post from Dan over a month and a half ago.

- Winter wonderland outside our windows.
- Dan's office closing so he could stay home with me today.
- Breakfast/lunch of quinoa, poached eggs, special olive oil, spinach, and chives.
- Munching on Dan's grandma's cookies throughout the day.
- Watching more movies on TV, most notably the end of Made of Honor and all of Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
- Finishing the maroon dress from my dressmaking class!! Now just need to take it to the drycleaner's to get properly pressed.

- Dad driving me back to the apartment just as the blizzard was starting.
- Dan having braved the elements and hordes of other shoppers to pick up OJ for me from Shop Rite.
- Leftover lasagna from Dan's aunt to supply us with meals.
- Starting a pair of armwarmers (first knitting project in a long long while) from my ball of tiger self-striping yarn.
- Finishing watching the disc of Project Runway that I'd had out since before the cruise. Season 2 was pretty awesome.
- Dan keeping me company as I watched bits of 27 Dresses through to its delightfully cheesy end.

- Getting some money for Christmas from my aunt that I may put towards getting a serger.
- Stopping by Dan's mother's side family Christmas and helping out with their turkey.
- Hanging out with JW, catching up with her, discussing her wedding planning thus far.
- Yummy homemade salted caramels from JW.
- Putting together the same Times Square panorama puzzle as last year.
- Watching a special extended edition of Jim Carrey's The Grinch on ABC Family, after we failed to find our DVD of it.

- Getting to the bank to deposit a large sum riiight before they closed for the holiday.
- Dan sweetly having saved me a piece of the coveted pepperoni bread that his grandmother makes.
- Having a blast playing Cranium with Dan, his sisters, cousin, and dad. My team won due to our superior die-rolling and pictionary skills.
- Feeling really welcomed into their family.
- Getting a copy of the CDs with his grandmother's recipes on there.
- Getting Google Reader unread items from 1000+ to under 100.

- Fairly quiet day at work to close out the week.
- Dinner of a cheddar and fig jam sandwich from Lucy's Whey plus coconut water (it's better than the last time I sampled this, I'll be picking this out more often now).
- Getting to the hockey game right on time despite my detour to pick up a sandwich.
- Dan bringing me key stuff I forgot to the hockey game for me (like my phone).
- Though the Devils played horribly, at least there were multiple fights for the spectacle.
- Finishing Intuitive Eating on the train and The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake later in the night.

- Dan finding and bringing the other two suit jackets with him to work, even though it made him late for his usual train.
- Mentoring discussion with MF on how to talk about career development with my manager and how to bring up concerns about a project I'm not at all involved in.
- Bringing Dan's suit jacket to the tailor and finding the cost of alterations to be less than previously expected.
- Getting honey roasted peanut butter from Manhattan Fruit Exchange for EM and for myself. Omg, best peanut butter I've had in my life.
- Dan continuing to accompany me on running errands, including picking up library books.
- Using up the last of my Wageworks card money to get epsom salts for when I start Crossfit and get incredibly sore again and first aid tape.

- Early morning meeting that I wasn't entirely prepped for getting rescheduled to tomorrow.
- The really good kind of working out shoulder/neck soreness during my chair massage.
- Discussing MF's serger with her boyfriend after seeing the same model in today's Gilt sale, but it's cheaper and comes with free shipping on Amazon.
- Successfully setting in the sleeves on my dress on the first try in class!
- Another student lingering in class long enough for me to be able to finish most seams on the serger.
- Dan letting me have his grandmother's pasta fagioli for dinner.

- Morning not being too busy, which was nice for this first full week of all hands on deck for phones.
- Getting in an escalation before leaving the office.
- Much of the work day taken up by the volunteaming event we went on, volunteering at the NY Food Bank's warehouse in the Bronx.
- Got to the library in time to pick up a couple books on hold.
- Dan being a fan of the risotto leftovers for dinner as well.
- Getting into a total sewing groove and getting a lot done (at the cost of staying up until 3...), including getting the invisible zipper in on the first try.

- Apartment to myself for most of the day with Dan at his dad's for the game.
- Making a big brunch for myself, with eggs, roasted peppers, and my favorite type of home fries.
- Getting two big loads of laundry done, though it took 3 hours with the dryers being used by someone else and having to run multiple loads.
- Cleaning the apartment in between doing laundry.
- Getting handsewing mending done on some of my dresses while watching shows on Netflix.
- Risotto holding up quite well as leftovers, since the texture thickened further.

- Catching up on sorely needed sleep after the holiday party late night.
- Spending most of the day on the couch.
- Making this tomato and sausage risotto, which has a whole bag of spinach in it.
- Roasted red peppers coming out really well.
- Discovering that just baking stale bread in the oven and sprinkling some spices on it was pretty much sufficient for decent croutons to munch on.
- Watching Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and having related dreams afterwards.

- Finding out that EM got herself home ok. Should've gone to the bathroom to look for her, but I'd figured she'd slipped out quietly (rather than taking a brief nap on the tile floor...)
- Everyone sitting around going over silliness at the holiday party last night.
- Getting the fun event for next quarter to specifically note a non-drinking fun event.
- Manager coming by and expressing his pride that we all made it in (unlike many of the other teams on our floor) but then also urging us to go home a bit early if we could.
- First knowledge transfer from SL.
- Mom coming by to drop off temporary replacement phone.

- Goat cheese sandwich from Amy's Bread for dinner, spotted by BB.
- Getting ready for holiday party at MG's with AJ and BB, chatting and gossiping away.
- Dancing the night away at the work holiday party.
- Excellent hors d'oeuvres, including mini po boys and gourmet mac & cheese.
- Eventually getting home despite PATH train taking forever and successfully pulling my vintage dress over my head without ripping it.

- Accompanied by BJ and DM to pick up some alcohol for the evening festivities.
- Goodbye party for SL, though slightly awkward, was still sweet.
- Grabbing dinner with EM and DM.
- Trying on my party dress for tomorrow night and eventually successfully took it off on my own as well without tearing anything (not much give)

- Doubling up on leggings and breaking out the fur coat for the first time this winter being effective in combating the cold.
- Avocado and bagels still out at breakfast at 9:30.
- Further catching up on work email and such, getting things under control again.
- Lunch with BB and MG.
- Getting through sewing class just fine (even serged the side seams on the dress) even though I'm pretty far behind.
- Discovering a little bit of spinach at the back of the fridge to throw into the soba noodle dinner.

- Only one call during phone shift and essentially just a transfer at that.
- Long stretches of time in the morning and afternoon for catching up while sitting in the massage chair.
- Mostly clearing out work and personal email inboxes.
- Watching this HP fan video sent to me by AL and getting tingles up and down my spine.
- Enjoying hanging around the apartment not doing much except watching Bones, even though I really should have done some sewing homework for the class tomorrow night.
- Dan telling me about the Leonard Leap, which is the best thing I've seen in my life.

- Dan agreeing it's cold enough to run the heater.
- Giving myself permission to just laze around and watch TV instead of being productive.
- Dan reminding me to bring an umbrella with me, which came in handy.
- Making it to MG's right on time even though the Verizon Wireless line was rather long when I went to go get my phone checked out.
- Birthday dinner at MG's with AJ to catch up.
- Really lovely and adorable sewing-themed birthday card from AJ.

- Seeing the FL apartment for the first time since it was being renovated. It's huge and really nice!
- Vietnamese pho for lunch.
- Hanging out at Starbucks on our own computers.
- Dan making gingerbread as a birthday/"welcome home" present.
- Finishing watching Star Trek with Dan.

- Boat docking at noon, so didn't have to wake up early to get off immediately.
- Mom getting us a taxi to Paradise Island beach in an effort for me to go try parasailing.
- Sheltered areas on glass bottom boat tour to protect from intermittent showers.
- Seeing a rainbow through the mist.
- Browsing through a local craft stand row on my own.
- Stand up comedian being self-aware enough to poke fun at the ship's own ridiculousness, despite being part of the staff.

- Parents letting me sleep in while they went to breakfast.
- Getting dinner at the French restaurant on board, which has excellent service. Foie gras for appetizer, duc du canard for entree.
- Ordering a kir royale to go with dinner.
- Amazingly rich hazelnut chocolate cake dessert thing.
- Finding an excellent place right by the dance floor to view the "Dancing with the Epic Stars" show thanks to a British couple having two seats free.
- Seeing a ton of birthday well wishes online.

- Going on a very guided scuba diving trip on St. Thomas and marveling at breathing underwater.
- Sun coming out occasionally and showing blue skies.
- Casual chatting with other people in the scuba diving/snorkeling trip but not feeling like it was too intrusive.
- Getting a fruit smoothie with lunch.
- Taking care of Christmas/souvenir shopping in one swoop at a store running a sale.
- Enjoying myself at the comedy-magician show and parents also having a good time.

- Really excellent hiking tour of scenic St. Maarten coast (Dutch side) by an Argentinian-Italian former accountant guide. Not too fast or slow, interesting info on historical, biological, and personal levels.
- New camera doing a good job of taking photos on auto setting.
- Though it looked like it was going to pour, only ever sprinkled.
- Getting BBQ baby back ribs for lunch at the place I picked out.
- Getting online to be able to send Dan a quick birthday email message.

- Mom not getting in a bad mood from working out and attending seminars by herself.

- Second City improv show containing pretty funny brief sketches.

- Asking mom about her experience going through the citizenship process while listening to piano lounge.

- Sleeping on the firmer sofa surface.

- Finding what we needed in the hotel gift shop so we didn't need to walk 2 miles to the closest drugstore.
- Getting on the hotel's free wifi to send email and check some Google Reader items.
- Boarding the cruise without too much fuss.
- Reading in lounge chair on sunny top deck to kill time before room was ready.
- Tiramisu for dessert.
- Mom getting picked out for Blue Man Group show and doing awesome!

- Managing to grab some of the "special breakfast" of cheesy grits and goat cheese scrambled eggs.
- Manager not being annoyed about me being a bit late to our 9:30 meeting.
- Last week's hours adding up to 80 exactly without trying.
- Cobbling together answers to tickets right before I needed to leave the office.
- Making it to meet my parents right on time at 7 without my phone and leaving the office a bit later than I'd planned.
- Power outlets by our seats on the flight to Miami to be able to watch Project Runway DVD on my laptop.

- Dinner with AQ/AJ/MG/EM/SS at Cowgirl, laughing and commiserating.
- Dan still being up to chat for a bit when I got home.

- Sushi for lunch.
- Getting through a long client call without too many issues.
- Talking to a really helpful woman on Cigna Pharmacy's support line.
- Getting to the library and picking up a couple more books to take with me on the vacation.
- Having some of Dan's dad's lentils for dinner, with the remaining homemade croutons.
- Reading/wiki-surfing on the couch while watching bits of Tropic Thunder.

- Productive session in the morning discussing improvements to a getting started guide.
- Feeling like I carried myself well when presenting some proposed workflow ideas to my manager.
- EM pointing out that the Brave Girl Eating book I'd just finished reading has the exact same cover as Twilight with its apple.
- Grabbing the last real (as opposed to cardboard) table in the sewing class even though I was slightly later than usual.
- Sewing class teacher not being annoyed about me wanting to buy a zipper for the dress even though we were already past closing time.
- Heating up remaining quinoa for dinner and giving the last biscuit to Dan.
11/29/10
- Getting to work not too much later than usual despite walking really, really slowly due to the soreness.
- Getting a replacement sign-in application since my phone's dead.
- Lunch with AQ to discuss improving communication skills, with helpful additional suggestions from MG and AJ, who didn't seem to mind when I insisted on keeping it a brainstorming lunch than a social lunch.
- Getting all my phone shifts covered without needing to send out a mass email.
- Snagging an hour-long table massage with a recently recommended masseuse to try to work through all my soreness.
- Dan still willing to eat quinoa dish for dinner even though he'd accidentally heated it with the plastic serving spoon still inside.
11/28/10
- Not having to go anywhere or really do anything, so I could avoid moving around too much through the soreness.
- Dan helping me vacuum. I really like it when it feels like we're cleaning the apartment as a team.
- Dan going out on a grocery run.
- Figuring out how to thicken the cornstarch paste enough to put up a test piece of fabric to one window.
- Making a vegetarian quinoa dish for dinner, to offset all the diner food in the last few days.
- Chilling out on the couch reading and wiki-surfing for most of the evening.
11/27/10
- Dan going out to get eggs and then scrambling a couple for me when I started stressing about already running late.
- Seeing EM's friendly face at the Crossfit gym in Brooklyn.
- The Crossfit coach taking mercy on me when I was the last one still struggling to finish the workout.
- Amazing, amazing brunch at Egg: grapefruit, some kind of egg with cheese on brioche, sauted kale...other delicious stuff.
- Getting a bunch of fabric shopping done at B&J.
- Hanging out at the Marlboro diner with old high school friends.
11/26/10
- Falling back asleep after Dan went to work and I didn't have to.
- Two eggs still in the fridge for my breakfast.
- Getting some sewing done while watching the first disc of season 2 of Project Runway.
- Getting a same day haircut appointment.
- Seeing our wedding band play at a "gastro pub" in Byram and really liking their setup as a six-piece band with: guitar, bass, drums, sax, male singer, and female singer.
- Dan getting us home in record time.
