- Waking up rather early after sleeping through the night, to have some time to myself jotting down thoughts about the wedding to be blogged later on.
- Getting everyone who was still at the Marriott together for brunch at a diner and having some time to talk to and hang out with MS, DC, LW, and AL in particular.
- Going to my parents' to pick up our gifts after Mama G brought everything over there last night and talking to my mom and family friends who were over.
- Apologizing to my mom for being a bit rude to her friends at the wedding yesterday in being reluctant to take more group photos.
- Vacuuming the apartment and throwing out a bunch of boxes and gift bags.
- Shortening the amount of research for the honeymoon through getting a good list of Vancouver tips from PB and deciding on a few walkable items in Seattle.

6/18/11
- Waking up relatively refreshed despite waking every two hours over the course of the night (too excited/nervous, room was too hot, etc.)
- Bridesmaids all arriving a little early to get started on hair/makeup, which didn't run us too far behind, even with finishing the girls' belts and wrapping the bouquet stems.
- Being able to casually mingle a bit as guests started arriving (many of them early!) but then having enough time to go take a breather when I started getting overwhelmed and on the verge of crying. Held it together throughout--thanks, random geese in the pond in the back that I focused on during the ceremony when I thought I might lose it!
- Vendors and everyone else who helped out really going above and beyond and just doing an excellent job all around, I didn't have to worry about anything! Everyone loved the band, the ceremony area was beautifully decorated with red lanterns and strands of cranes, the flowers came out really well despite last minute flower snafus in the morning, the caterers were great, Kelly and Natalie as the photographers were wonderful, etc. etc...I've run out of positive adjectives.
- My sister's and Mom's toasts going really, really well, leading into lots of dancing for the band's last set as the temperature finally cooled a bit.
- Hanging out with HTHSers and BCers into the night.
A year ago today.

6/17/11
- Getting to the venue for setup and finding that the rentals had already been delivered and Mama G had unpacked everything already.
- Getting a good amount of setup done, with flowers mostly done and ceremony chair decorations all done. Pretty pleased with myself for finding a broomstick to put the spools of ribbons on to cut.
- Practicing our first dance at the venue.
- Finding the same shade of teal for my pedicure and the gold polish for my manicure turning out really sparkly. Not sure if it's tacky & Vegas or awesome, but I love it anyway.
- Dinner at the Salt Creek Grille with SP/AL/RC/CS/P and Dan. Yummy, beefy burger and amazing garlic fries really hit the spot.
- Practicing stuff for the ceremony with Dan, like how we'll stand, the bowing, and oh yeah, our first kiss as marrieds.
6/16/11
- Waking up fairly refreshed before 9.
- Efficient running of errands early in the day, returning stuff to Michaels, getting cash for vendor tips from the bank, dropping off box at UPS.
- Seeing KS' adorable prototypes of our pinwheel bouquets when I went to borrow her gold nail polish.
- Finishing sewing two belts for my bridesmaids with rather cute bows, if I do say so myself.
- Walking away unscathed from a man with a lot of road rage.
- Glee concert with my sister!

- Mama G coming over and taking charge of a lot of wedding stuff, yay!
- Making a Michaels run and picking up what I needed for pretty cheap.
- Mom finding a gifted set of Chinese tea in pretty containers that we can just bring to the wedding.
- Remembering the load of laundry I started earlier in the day and putting it in the dryer before anyone went to use the washer and got annoyed.
6/14/11
- Finally getting around to sorting out some health insurance claims stuff.
- Getting underarm hair waxed not being as painful as I thought it would be, and more efficient too.
- Picking up this summer's CSA for the first time. Walked in and the room just smelled so fresh and of vegetables.
- Picking up a library book.
- Remembering to sew up a small organza bag for the rings.
- Successfully wearing the giant Born heels for the last dance lesson.

6/11/11
- Lounging around a bit in the morning before getting to writing the thank you cards we currently owe.
- Dan being willing to run out and pick up a recycling bin for us from the new ones Hoboken decided to start using, even though this made him late for his bachelor party.
- After cashing some checks and dropping off the thank you cards to be mailed, dropped into American Apparel to pick up a pair of bike shorts to wear under dresses, got groceries from Garden of Eden, and several loaves of bread and some cookies from Marie's Bakery.
- Picking up my wedding dress from the tailor's, fits a lot better now.
- Getting home just in time to catch the last new Doctor Who episode before the summer break. Honestly, not that great, but I'll still watch the show.
- Dinner of bread, Asiago cheese, olive oil, fancy salt, watermelon.
6/10/11
- Going to the gym in the morning and managing to finish the whole workout with needing to scale down from pull-ups with a band to ring rows.
- Good talk with MF about how to deal with taking things personally and feeling bad about it.
- Getting help from MG re-writing my list of accomplishments for the quarter. Usually it's a much more painful process, but this was much better.
- Chatting with JM and getting to know her a bit more, she's cool.
- Picking up dinner at the Taco Truck after a team dinner was canceled.
- Going to bed pretty early.
6/9/11
- Shiatsu massage helping ease some of the soreness in my triceps from my workout the other day.
- Running over to pick up an itemized receipt from MaximEyes for the insurance companies, which they were really nice about.
- Finding a couple more Maisie Dobbs books on the shelves at Muhlenberg, since I was in the area from the above errand anyway.
- Rain holding out sufficiently so that I only really got wet in Manhattan, didn't get drenched in the longer walk in Hoboken.
- UPS package #1 getting picked up by Dan, UPS package #2 waiting for me inside the apartment building. (They've discontinued the UPS truck by Hoboken PATH unfortunately)
- Though feeling a bit bummed out by something from work, consoling myself with the new pair of potential wedding shoes in UPS package #2--really tall, but very soft straps and plenty of cushioning. Strong contender.
6/8/11
- Submitting our application for marriage license with BB as our witness going quite smoothly and efficiently.
- Productive day where I learned a lot more about the command queue finally and crossed several things off my to-do list for the week
- Picking up books from the re-opened Jefferson Market library.
- Meeting Dan and his co-workers at Shake Shack.
- Perfect amount of food for dinner, with 1 Shackburger (worth the long wait), fries (minus what Dan ate), and a large Arnold Palmer drink.
- Evening air cooling quite a bit during our walk home.
6/7/11
- Getting myself to the gym in the morning for an upper body workout and feeling great afterwards, despite having a really painful wake-up.

- Gold spray painted shoes by cobbler looking fantastic!
- Skipping lunch and getting some work done on a project for MG to show her in time for our 1pm 1:1.
- JK canceling our afternoon meeting so that I had enough time to pack up my desk (which wasn't quite as painful as I thought it would be).
- Leaving work a bit early to go shopping with AJ, who had a 20% off coupon for J.Crew. Got a bunch of good stuff! And the retail therapy was relaxing.
- Dinner at the Taco Truck of four chorizo con papas tacos, with guacamole.

- SS leaving a bit early so I had a bit more time than expected to catch up with other stuff.
- Getting myself to the gym for a proper workout for the first time in a couple weeks.
- Having a good time chatting with our photographer about our timeline. She's the best, I always feel less stressed, not more, after talking to her.
6/1/11
- Getting myself back to the office without too much trouble, given that my shoes broke in the morning on the way to the client visit.
- Bringing my mostly-finished dress to the tailor to have them help me fix the things that were bothering me about it, as well as finishing the hemming. They were really nice about it.
- Running into AJ's boyfriend MT at the tailor's as well, quite the coincidence.
- Dan's aunt bringing over a piece of his great-aunt's china set to see if we might want it. It's a really classic and elegant style...it would be lovely to have family china!
- Helping Dan use hydrogen peroxide on his ears too, to great effect.
- Catching up with MB and starting to work on rounding up the rest of the RSVPs.
5/31/11
- Conceiving a white outfit from head to toe for after Memorial day: white linen blouse, white skirt unearthed from summer clothes stash, white Birkenstocks, and skinny black belt with bow, and getting a couple compliments on it.
- Successfully rescheduling Wednesday and Thursday meetings to fit in a client visit and database work.
- Lunch with MG, AJ, and BB.
- Skipping the gym in favor of putting on my dress a bit more and trying to figure out how to get it to fit better.
- Leftover chicken cutlet and risotto for dinner.
- Dan pulling out one of his Ludlum books for me to read that I hadn't read yet, The Road to Gandolfo.
