- Tasting all the different fancy olive and other kinds of oils at the Filling Station.
- Making it to the new weightlifting class at the gym.

9/13/11
- Finding a YouTube video of a dog singing along to "Happy Birthday" to send to my sister as a birthday greeting.
- SS visiting for lunch!! She looks so happy to be in grad school.
- Having just enough time to pick up the fruit share for the next two weeks and swing by to grab AJ's extra copy of the Vogue September Issue.
- Getting myself to the gym and meeting my goal of finishing the workout in less than 19 minutes.
- Coming home and talking through some things with Dan.
- Despite showering and eating dinner pretty late after lying on the couch talking to Dan for so long, still went to bed at a reasonable time.
9/12/11
- Getting a couple compliments on my newly hemmed navy blue dress with batik border on the top.
- Running a bunch of errands in the morning, dropping off laundry for Dan, buying elastic in the Garment District.
- Sorting through the deluge of emails from an afternoon full of meetings pretty quickly.
- A couple dresses I'd dropped off last week to get dry cleaned being ready a day early with the wash-and-fold laundry.
- Breaking out the mandoline to make ratatouille for dinner, which came out pretty well.
- Beginning of EN coming over regularly on Monday nights to stay before her Tuesday morning class at Columbia.
9/11/11
- Spending most of the morning lying around and finishing Inspector Imanishi Investigates.
- Starting and finishing hemming the navy blue dress with a white batik border along the top while at CS and PB's place.
- Exerting willpower to avoid buying any expensive snacks at the grocery store when I was hungry.
- Getting back in plenty of time before Breaking Bad so I could watch some other random TV in-between.
- Having a second dinner of roast beef that I made yesterday and the cherry tomato and green bean salad.
- Getting a funny email from DL about his and BB's wedding gifts to us.
9/10/11
- Dan taking me to another farmers' market in Jersey City, this one with more stuff (including watermelon!)
- Dan bringing the lemongrass plant over to my parents' for my mom. Took up too much space in our apartment (and it's kind of a messy looking plant...)
- Having the apartment to myself in the afternoon and cleaning it.
- Remembering to catch last week's Doctor Who episode in the afternoon.
- Finally trying out the 3-D SET game that AL got us from Comic-Con.
- Dan getting The Adjustment Bureau out from Redbox. I had a good time watching it with him at home, since it was enjoyable enough use of the time, plot moved along quickly enough, but we could also make cracks about the hats.
9/9/11
- Catching a bit of sleep on both flights back.
- Being able to fit the stuff I needed on the flight into my purse when they forced me to check my carry on bag on the second flight.
- Roasted almonds available for purchase on the longer flight so I wasn't totally starving on the way back.
- Watching an episode of Jeeves and Wooster to pass the time before my laptop's battery died.
- Getting home before Dan, even, so had the entire evening to settle back in after my whirlwind trip.
- Making a dinner of just carrot fries and avocado.
9/8/11
- Dan not minding how I kept waking him up every couple hours with needing to pack and then needing to leave after two hours of sleep.
- Knocking myself out with Dramamine and sleeping pretty much the whole flight to Phoenix.
- Attending the client meeting and finding the clients to be really genial and open to our suggestions.
- Learning more about ML through one of the clients asking him a lot of questions.
- Fancy steak dinner! Served on a 500 degree plate sizzling and really accommodating about my request not to have butter on anything.
- BG giving me a ride to the hotel in her rental car so I wouldn't have to feel bad about another expensive cab ride.
9/7/11
- Chair massage with AS. He's still the best combo of strong but targeted pressure.
- Remembering to grab extra food from lunch for dinner, and the chicken sofrito from the burrito bar being surprisingly good even when cold. Possibly due to all food tasting better when you're hungry.
- My mom seeming to have a really great time at the NY Philharmonic's live performance of the score for West Side Story while they played the movie with the original lyrics on the big screen.
- Several of the original cast members and producers of the movie being in attendance! Most notably Russ Tamblyn (Rif, and Amber Tamblyn's dad) and George Chakiris (Bernardo).
- Nobody giving me dirty looks for stashing a big umbrella at my feet or for taking off my rainboots during the second half when my feet were getting overheated in all the rubber.
- Rainboots and umbrella coming in handy for a few random heavy downpours in the evening.

9/6/11
- Lunch with AJ and keeping her in the loop on what's being asked of her team.
- Breaking out my new clear bubble umbrella with map of NYC subway on it in the rain today.
- Ducking out of the work happy hour early to run errands.
- Getting to both the eyeglass place (to have glasses tightened a bit) and library (to return books) just in time before they closed.
- Not stepping on anything sharp when I needed to take my shoes off to wade through flooded streets on the way home.
- Quick dinner of a salad with cherry tomatoes, orange bell pepper, and roast chicken. Broke out the avocado oil for the first time.
9/5/11
- Falling back asleep for a solid hour after waking up the first time around 9.
- Lounging around for most of the day working on sewing projects and having the TV on (Star Wars, NCIS, How I Met Your Mother marathons).
- Setting up the navy blue cotton dress with batik print along the top to be ready to be hemmed next weekend. Looks like it'll be really cute on, too.
- Managing to contain the spill from knocking the Brita over after dropping other sewing supplies.
- Fully finishing one project by the end of the day through hemming the splotchy purple knit dress by machine.
- Dan comforting me after I woke up in the middle of the night from a nightmare.

9/4/11
- Not feeling guilty about not going to the gym after looking up the schedule and seeing that it was closed for Labor Day.
- Getting complimented by Dan's younger sisters on my style.
- Green bean and cherry tomato salad coming together pretty easily (while watching How the States Got Their Shapes, good and even educational background TV!) and going over pretty well at the barbecue.
- Not too difficult to eat at the barbecue for me, with plain burgers and slices of London broil available and plain fruit for dessert.
- Watching Dan teach PB the game Go.
- Our hosts going the extra mile of washing all our dishes so no worries about grease drips or anything on the way home.
9/3/11
- Waking up naturally at 9am.
- Making myself breakfast of fried eggs, breakfast sausage, and peppers.
- Dan driving me around to all the errands I wanted to run today: Target, Salvation Army, Home Depot, BBB, farmer's market (found many of the things I was looking for!), gardening center, Shop Rite...
- Re-potting and replacing some of the plants in my herb planter that weren't doing so well.
- Roasting a chicken for dinner.
- Spending some quality time with Dan for the first time in awhile, hanging out watching movies on Netflix streaming.

- Grabbing lunch and hanging out with Abby at her desk.
- MF readily giving me a pep talk re: not feeling driven to aim for another promotion right now and switching managers again.
- SH suggesting I should consider going out to LA next week for the client on-site.
- Eating a bowlful of peaches and plums from the CSA.
- Having the apartment to myself for the evening.
9/1/11
- Spending the morning mucking around in the database to pull data.
- Finding out from EL that we don't need to do something we thought we would need for upgrades.
- Really nice weather outside to sit in the outside section of a local bar for happy hour with some of my new teammates.
- Bringing a burnt orange dress from Empire Vintage to the tailor to get hemmed.
- Making lamb burger patties with carrot fries and bell peppers for dinner. The ground lamb from the meat share a few weeks ago was delicious.
- Catching the whole Project Runway episode for the first time in a couple weeks.
8/31/11
- Picking up my engagement ring, finally shipped back! Really sparkly and fits much better now.
- Getting in to the office early enough to get breakfast before an 8:45am meeting.
- Chair massage with JP where he thought to give me a blanket because I was feeling pretty cold.
- Going shopping at Madewell with AJ and scoring two tops and two pairs of jeans.
- Finding a place that made Whole30 compliant salads for my dinner.
- No peer pressure to stay later after the show with coworkers as everyone else seemed to want to head home too.
8/30/11
- Sleeping really well back in my own bed.
- Really delicious omelet with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and bacon bits, and heaps of avocado on the side, for breakfast.
- Not a bad size share from the CSA this week, since they harvested it before the hurricane.
- Dinner at The Spotted Pig with MG and MZ, which I'd wanted to try for awhile. Burger patty was juicy and delicious and their shoestring fries, while I didn't have any, smelled like they would be amazing with rosemary and garlic in them too.
- Catching up with MZ visiting from Australia.
- Remembering to pull out a chicken from the freezer for making roast chicken this weekend.
