1. Walking by a man doing aerials from a tree on the way to the venue.
2. Talk going well! Filled to 30 minutes and people laughed at jokes, even with the translation.
3. Crepe with Peruvian chicken for lunch.
4. Walking by a market and talent show in the McDonald’s parking lot, with a young girl belting out Adele songs.
5. Starting a new novel (The Just City) to pass the time between the end of the conference and the afterparty.
6. Conference organizers calling an Uber for me to get back from the afterparty.
